Welcome to Found in Philadelphia!

This blog is inspired by the City of Brotherly Love and my longstanding love affair with all things vintage and handmade. I firmly believe that words like “used” and “vintage” don’t have to mean “shabby” or “outdated,” and that thrifted, and vintage items can be the key to distinctive style on a budget. Here you’ll find inspiration, DIYs, and resources for decorating on a budget and making all things vintage work for the modern world.

Nice to meet you, I’m Lola.

I live in Philadelphia with my wife, Crystal, and our two cats.

Last summer, we moved into our first house, a three-story rowhome built in 1875. Although it’s been lovingly cared for through the years but still has plenty of old home quirks and challenges. We love being the caretakers of our little piece of Philly history, and our home is the true inspiration behind this blog.

Besides hunting down vintage finds and making our house a home, I love good cups of coffee, rainy afternoons in art galleries, used bookstores, and adding stamps to my passport.

New to the blog?

If this is your first time here, you can start by reading the first blog post, or about my pledge in 2016 to only buy things used and secondhand.
